Membership Rewards

Start earning rewards as soon as you sign up for free.
You will earn 1 point for every $1 spent.
When you accumulate 100 points we will automatically convert the 100 points to a $10 Reward on your card. You can use your reward anyway you'd like…for food, beverage. Your rewards will never expire as long as you keep your card active by using it at least once per year.

Ask your server for MR application. . .once we have your current address you’ll receive our special "MR Members Only" card discounts as well as email notifications of newly added benefits to the program.

Present your card at time of purchase and earn 10% Rewards Points which can be used for future purchases. The Rewards card is not redeemable for cash and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen and is not valid for tax or gratuities. Earn Points all year.

Crab Shell 10% Membership Rewards (MR) Card Rules

1. Crab Shell’s points are available on qualifying food and beverage purchases. You must present your Rewards Card at the time of purchase to receive your points. The Rewards Card is not valid with any other offer. This means that if you have a coupon or other promotional offer, points will only be issued for the amount of money actually spent during the visit.

2. No purchase is necessary to get a Crab Shell Rewards Card, however each individual may only have one active card at a time and you must have an email address to apply.

3. You will be awarded one base point for every $1 spent on food or beverage. Points will not be issued for tax or tip. You will receive a receipt after every purchase which will serve as a confirmation that your points were credited to your account. To qualify for points on a catered event or banquet function, you must be a cardholder prior to booking the event. Points will not be issued for room rental or service charges and there is a limit of 1,000 points per event/visit. The cardholder must be the individual paying for the event.

4. Points may be earned only by the Crab Shell cardholder who pays the check. Points will not be issued for the purchase of gift cards. However, if the recipient is a Rewards cardholder, points will be issued upon the gift card redemption.

5. Every time your account reaches 100 points, the points will automatically be converted to a $10 reward. It's that simple! Your Reward dollars can be used for food and beverage purchases at Crab Shell. Reward dollars cannot be used on the purchase of Gift Cards or other merchandise.

6. Crab Shell reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to terminate the Rewards Card program, and to alter, limit, modify, or add to the card rules, regulations, terms and conditions. This includes, but is not limited to, imposing time limits and changes in point values, rewards, and reward levels, all without prior notice, at any time.

7. Except where required by law or provided for in the program rules, Crab Shell Rewards have no cash value. Points are surrendered for award redemption only.

8. Crab Shell reserves the right to discontinue membership privileges and/or void all, or a portion of, a member's point balance if the points have been issued, received, or redeemed through computer error, fraud, illegal means, in a manner not authorized in the Official Rules & Conditions, or in any other legal or equitable remedy which may be available for the Crab Shell Rewards Card program under applicable law.

9. We occasionally send emails to random members with discount offers and information about our Rewards Card reward program; however, we will never share or sell our list of members.

10. Employees of Crab Shell are not eligible to participate in the Rewards program.

11. Rewards Cards that are unused for over 15 months are automatically cancelled. All points and rewards balances will be forfeited.

Frequently Asked Members Reward (MR) Questions

Q. What is Crab Shell’s Program?

A. MR program is designed to reward our guests. Members earn points for their purchases (1 point for every $1 spent before tax and tip) and when 100 points are reached, a $10 food or beverage credit will automatically be added to your account.

Q. How do I join?

A. Guests simply fill out a short application at Crab Shell. We need your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and date of birth (so we know when to give you your birthday bonus). You will receive your card and begin earning points immediately on the same visit.

Q. What if I don’t have an email address?

A. Most people have some type of email access – either at work, the library, or you can even use a relative’s or neighbor’s email address. The email access is the key to our program. With it, we are able to communicate directly and quickly with our guests. We want to be able to keep you updated on new promotions and opportunities for even more rewards! If you have absolutely no access to email, you will still accumulate points and earn reward dollars.

Q. When will the points appear on my account?

A. Points are issued when the check is closed. You will be given a receipt with your updated points and rewards at the end of each visit.

Q. When can I spend my rewards?

A. When your account exceeds 100 points, the system will automatically convert them to $10 in rewards. The rewards will be available for use on your next visit. You may also choose to save your rewards over time or use them as you earn them.

Q. When I redeem my rewards, will I earn points?

A. No. We do not issue points when rewards are redeemed. For example, if your bill is $36 and you redeem $10 in rewards, you will only earn 26 points for that visit.

Q. Can I earn points for catered events?

A. Yes, The rule is that only the person paying the check may receive points on their account. A member can receive up to 1,000 points for a catered function, provided that they were a member prior to booking the event. Obviously, points will not be issued for tax, gratuity or room rental charges.

Q. What do I do if I lose my card?

A. No problem. You can be re-issued a card at Crab Shell. All of your information, including all of your points and rewards, will be transferred over to the new card number.

Q. What should I do if my card is cancelled due to inactivity?

A. Call our Crab Shell 203.967.7229 and we will be happy to assist you.

Q. Will my MR points or rewards ever expire?

A. Points and rewards on an active MR card will never expire. Cards that have no activity for over 15 months are automatically cancelled and the points and rewards balance are forfeited. To keep your card from being cancelled, make sure you use your card at least once a year.
